Title: working for God
Dearest in Christ,
With due respect and humanity, I wish to contact you under a humanitarian ground.
I am Mrs Monica Williams; I was born in Baltimore, Maryland in America, and was married to Mr. Jean Claude Dramane, Director J.C Industries Cote d’Ivoire. We were married for 36 years with a child of 22 yrs.
My husband died in 2006 after a Cardiac Arteries Operation.
Recently, my Doctor told me that I may not last for the next six months; due to my stroke and cancer problem (cancer of the liver). Before my husband died, there is this sum of Eight Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($8.500.000) which he deposited with a Private Finance Company here In Ivory Coast. Presently, this money is still in the custody of the Security Company.
I want somebody who will use this fund according to the desire of my late husband, that is; to help the less privileged, orphans, widows and most of its all, propagating the word of God.
With regards to my poor condition of Health, I decided to donate 10% of this fund to any God fearing brother or sister who will utilize this fund the in the work of God. 10% will be for your effort.
While the remaining 80% will be invested in the name of my daughter who will join you as soon as the transaction is completed.
I am still in the hospital while my daughter is in the Refugee camp. Please my dear; your urgent co-operation will be needed to save the life of my child because of the ongoing political war here.
I do not want this money to be used in an ungodly way and that is why I am taking this decision to hand you over this fund now that I am still alive.
I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I want you to always remember me in your daily prayers because of my up coming Cancer Surgery.
Looking forward to read from you soon.
God bless you.
Mrs Monica Williams
Another great reason why my mac mail puts things like these automatically in my junk file!!
oh happy day!!!!
It is very likely that this may be the best bit of news I have heard all year!!!
The muppets are talking amongst themselves!! I smell a comeback!!!! The muppets are talking about coming back to television! If this were the case, this would be absolutely fabulous. You can click here to read the story (from my home town in Florida).
I am so pumped!!!!!
So this evening I wasn’t feeling very well (post below this one) and so I was just trying to relax this evening & chill…that is UNTIL…
Well, I’ll start from the beginning…
Cathi got home from work at about 8:30PM and we were just going to relax until I heard this strange noise. It sounded like a smacking into the wall. I looked to the far end of the room and saw something flying in the air. I thought to myself that it was probably a moth or a fly but I would soon be proven wrong and come face to face with one of my all time arch enemies…A YELLOW JACKET!!!
This rivalry goes way back…to about 8th grade. I was working for a landscaping company and was trimming some hedges and ran into a nest of yellow jackets and was stung/bit/smacked around/dragged into a back alley and beaten to an inch of my life!!! It was not a pleasant site…but, I digress!
My wife quickly ran to the cleaning supply closet and found some bug spray. I used that against the intruder but it only seemed to make him all the more angrier. Cathi then ran to the garage and retrieved wasp and horsefly spray. At that moment I didn’t care if it worked or if it did not as long as it just slowed it down so I could assassinate it! Cathi’s quick thinking really did the trick…it was like Bonnie & Clyde!!! She loaded the gun and I shot it.
It took a few moments, but life soon fled and it went all dark for this bad boy! Below are some pictures that Cathi & I took to mark this momentous adventure!!

The final touch!!

I’m still in the Olympic spirit…fencing to be exact!

This explains it all…he’s lucky I didn’t have to use this!!

Cathi is inspecting the work!

Here he is…D.O.A!

See ya in the afterlife sucka…gosh, I hope I don’t see you in the afterlife!!!
All in all, it wasn’t much of a relaxing evening! But, I am glad that Cathi was around to give me a hand. On a side note, I almost made this guy pay me some rent before I put him out of his misery but I decided to cut my losses and not take any chances. Also, I just took some pepto bismol that expired in 2006. I hope it still works!! Actually in all this excitement, I almost forgot about my stomach ache and my 10 year streak!
Good night!
not feeling good
Ok, so this chapter kicked me in the teeth! I hope you have a toothless grin after reading this post as well (I mean that in the kindest way possible)! I know it’s a hefty post, but it will do your heart/soul well to read this!
Chapter 002: Goose Bumps [coming out of the cage of responsibility
The soul lives by that which it loves -St. John of the Cross
I’m not convinced that your date of death is the date carved on your tombstone. Most people die long before that. We start dying when we have nothing worth living for. And we don’t really start living until we find something worth dying for. Ironically, discovering something worth dying for is what makes life worth living. Maybe that explains why Jesus was so full of life. He had so much — or rather so many — to die for.
I recently read that the average person will spend approximately half his waking hours at work. Over the course of a lifetime, that is about a hundred thousand hours on the job. Based on that statistic, I have two pieces of advice. First, get yourself an ergonomic office chair. Second, and more important, don’t pursue a career. Here is the mistake so many of us make: we start out pursuing a passion and end up settling for a paycheck. So instead of making a life, all we do is make a living. And our deep-seated passions get buried beneath our day-to-day responsibilities.
…your greatest responsibility is pursuing God-ordained passions.
We turn our responsibilities into excuses. And that is when our responsibilities actually become a form of irresponsibility. Our responsibilities become the cage that keeps us from chasing the Wild Goose. And the only way out is responsible irresponsibility.
When it comes to doing the will of God, God-ordained passions are far more imporant than any human qualification we can bring to the table. In fact, God often uses us at our point of greatest incompetence. That way He gets all the credit.
What is it you want?…I’m convinced that many of our problems are by-products of the fact that most of us cannot answer that question. We don’t know what we want. We’ve never defined our goals or values or passions, so we’re out of touch with our hearts’ desires. And our growing responsibilities have numbed us to the possibilities around us and the passions within us.
One of the great mistakes we make is asking God to do for us what God wants us to do for Him. We confuse portfolios.
The only thing that upsets me more than downright evil acts are people who allow injustice to happen within their inaction. Jesus transformed God’s message into action, and it should be our mission to devote our lives to similar action.
-Becky (an attender of National Community Church)When Christianity turns into a noun, it becomes a turnoff.
The way you overcome spiritual inertia and produce spiritual momentum is by making tough decisions. And the tougher the decision, the more potential momentum it will produce. The primary reason most of us don’t see God moving is simply because we aren’t moving. If you want to see God move, you need to make a move!
You don’t need wealth or position or power to make a difference. You just need to do the best you can with what you have where you are.

Alright, so sorry this is a longer post but this was such an impactful and meaningful chapter to me! It opened my eyes to a lot of things I have left untouched in my soul that I need to dedicate a lot of time to working out!
